I trust him to keep me updated on anything exceptionally major in his life. Why wouldn’t he tell me such things?

Well, he might not have before, especially since you kept your past two relationships very private. Maybe you had an expectation everyone else does the same.

I suppose that’s fair. I don’t really see him keeping these sorts of things a secret, but then I don’t suppose I would have assumed myself to be as private about these things as I am either.

Bread is a surprisingly tame vice for you to be indulging yourself in. Maybe it’ll help Aragaki-kun ease through the separation with Shiranui-kun.

Well, since you yourself have been on the receiving end of various affections while I've been supposedly in a relationship, you know what to expect. It does save a lot of time not having to explain things so that's convenient.

It's very sweet bread, I don't think you'd enjoy it very much.

I don't think my past relationships are a very good baseline to base anything on.

Of course it's sweet. I should have known better than to expect that normal bread would win you over.

I'm still so curious about them. You should tell me more. Did you treat your girlfriends any differently to how you treated your closest friends? Did you spoil them as much as me now?

I enjoy plainer bread on occasion, you know. With butter and honey on it.

I think I treated the first closer to a regular than the second. With Erika I was also a high schooler with more limited funds, so there was less of an expectation of going places. We didn’t have much time between classes and our respective sports. I consider a significant other someone to go out of my way for, so I suppose to some extent I must have favored them over others, the second more than the former.

See, I was almost surprised by that admission until you brought up the honey.
