My father's in town for a few days on business and we went out for dinner tonight. I had a really lovely seafood spread with scallops that melted in the mouth. Yum. I think I ate enough to not need to eat anything all weekend, I'm so full.

He was inordinately curious about who I've been hanging out with in Tokyo, and was accusing me of being happier than normal. It's like that's a bad thing. Parents can be very unnecessarily nosey.


On slightly less concerning topics, I'm currently looking for a person to take my cute kouhai out on a date. He's probably the only nice person I know from back in the day and even if he had a stupid growth spurt in the past few years, he's still very cute.

Bonus points if you like bunnies and baked goods. And freckles.

I like tea. I'm partial to fruit tea in particular. What about you?

I'm a bit more of a traditionalist. I like green tea.

Any fruit really. Hibiscus tea is also nice.
My mother likes to experiment with tea so I've tried everything under the sun.
The classics can be the best, green tea is very nostalgic.

I do like hibiscus tea, though I'm not sure I've liked many fruit teas. Perhaps I'm just not tasting the right ones.

Tea-blending is a very elegant hobby. I imagine your mother most have come up with some interesting things.

Perhaps if you are interested, we could visit the Aoyama Flower Market tea house. It's a fairly popular spot and does get busy, but the ambience is nice.

She definitely has. Not all of them have been successful. Like the peppercorn and cocoa shell tea. And the liquorice and cumin seed tea. And the raspberry leaf, chive and white tea blend.

Anyway yes, I would love to go, that sounds wonderful.
